This exceptionally detailed wood model of the Space Shuttle is hand crafted from solid mahogany. The Space Shuttle is a retired, partially reusable low Earth orbital spacecraft system operated from 1981 to 2011 by the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration as part of the Space Shuttle program. Its official program name was the Space Transportation System, taken from the 1969 plan led by U.S. vice president Spiro Agnew for a system of reusable spacecraft where it was the only item funded for development. This gleaming scale replica of the Space Shuttle is handcrafted from solid mahogany and given great detailing.  Movable rotors add to the appeal of this wood model that has three coats of polyurethane finish for high gloss and a deep wood grain.  Exceptionally detailed, multiple coats of polyurethane finish are added for extra gloss and rich wood grain.  Depth: 7"; Width: 7.5"; Height: 14.5".
