Divine Feminine

This piece began as a study of roots, painted alongside a student. As the shadows deepened, the roots transformed into the curves of a torso, the hidden roundness of a womb. The same lines that anchor us to earth also hold the essence of creation. Here, the roots are not buried but bare, floating in space. They remind us that the feminine holds both mystery and revelation—what is usually hidden rises up to be seen. In Kabbalah, this essence is Malchut — the vessel that receives and gives birth to all life.
