This battery door is specifically designed to accommodate the use of external power sources, allowing the wireless transmitters to be operated without relying on traditional 9 volt batteries. By converting 10 to 18 volt DC to regulated 9 volt DC, the transmitter can be powered through the battery terminals inside the battery compartment. The modified door not only exposes the connector for the external power source but also remains fully functional with regular dry cell batteries. Additionally, the unit is equipped to supply up to 200 mA, making it suitable for use with 250 mW transmitters.
