Urushi Hand-Coated Papers (2 Sheets per Color)

2-sheets of hand-brushed Japanese 'Urushi' (lacquer) papers created by Awagami craftswomen here in Tokushima, Japan. The Kozo sheets are brushed with natural lacquer to create a fairly thick layer of deeply toned papers suitable for crafts, art, tabletop display or as a covering for books or furniture. These are not like the offset-printed lacquer sheets sold elsewhere, but are true Japanese Urushi papers...Use a strong wood-glue w/ weights to dry flat, overnight.  Very special and offered for the first time outside of Japan here.
