The burlap has that burlap smell but over time dissipates. ***If you plan to order more later please note that the fabrics may not be from the same bolt if you order at different times. They're can be slight variance in color and texture on the ticking and the burlap.Burlap is perfectly imperfect there may be nubs and a random color threads running through them as well as slight variance in color adding to the natural imperfections.*also please note these are two extremely different fabrics coming together for this great little window treatment and there are differences on how they sew and align when sewn.
