This listing is for a single 500' roll of 1 1/2" Non Oxygen Barrier Red PEX tubing, suitable for heating and plumbing purposes. BHS PEX tubing is manufactured to meet the following specifications: 1.625" outer diameter, 1.244" inner diameter, and .19" wall thickness with a weight of .35 pounds per foot. It follows the ASTM 876/877 standards and is not recommended for installation in direct sunlight. This Type B PEX tubing is produced using the silane method and is rated at 100 psi at 180 degrees, 80 psi at 200 degrees, and 160 psi at 73 degrees. BHS PEX tubing is connected in 2 different ways. Crimp fittings are the most effective way of connecting. This is done with a barbed fitting and a copper crimp ring. The ring is compressed with the use of a crimp ring tool.  This method is the cheapest and best way to a connection and is the least susceptible to leaks down the road. You can also use push-fit fittings. They are great for a quick repair, or a small installation project. T
