Widow's Mite set in sterling silver Fahan Mura Celtic cross. The Widow’s Mite is the smallest of all Roman coins. Denomination: Prutah, Date: 103-76 BC, during Christ's lifetime.  St Mura's Cross is located in an ancient monastic site in Fahan, County Donegal. This rare 'slab' type cross is generally believed to be the precursor to the typical Celtic High crosses associated with Ireland. St Mura lived in the 6th century and was a relative and disciple of St Columba. Irish inscription on back: “Is maith an scealaí an aimsír.” Translation: Time is a good storyteller.
