The Excelsior frame is all-machined and comfortable to play as an open back- while retaining all of the advantages (even head tension, quick adjustments, tone ring options, etc.) as our Heli-Mount frame. With the additional of a press on resonator- it sounds just like our resonator Heli-Mount banjos. But the reso can easily be removed for clawhammer and quieter practice.
