The Cave Dwellers

Acrylic and Oil Stick Painting 66" x 78"  Maybe the ancient cave dwellers such as the Anasazi Indians in America’s Southwest knew better. They not only embraced their God-given land but its gift of free housing in the form of cliff dwellings long before the “white man” arrived. In the town of Matera, in the Sassi District in Italy, caves, that were abandoned in the 1970s for public housing, are being recycled into attractive homes, hotels, and boutiques. We, too, can come full circle and use what has been given to us without bulldozing the earth to build useless buildings.    An original (Restoration, Recycling and Remembering) acrylic painting,  This piece will be shipped rolled.
