Caterpillar Sock <br/><small>knitting pattern</small>

This top-down sock in five sizes features a sprightly caterpillar motif in knits and purls which extends down the leg and over the top of the foot. Sock is easily converted to toe-up construction, as the pattern is vertically reversible and may be resized by using different yarn weights or needles.Suggested Yarns:  Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, or any springy, high-twist sock yarn.   Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, and yardage requirement.  Finished Size:finished sock circumference = 5(6.25, 7.5, 8.75, 10) inchesXS(S, M, L, XL), to fit feet measuring up to 6(7.5, 8.5, 10, 11) inches around  Yarn requirements: 300(350, 400, 450, 500) yards  Gauge: 32 sts and 48 rows = 4” in stockinette  Needles: DPNs size US1 (2.25mm), or size to obtain gauge on smaller needles.
