this one is for all my filipinx friends inspired by something I wrote about during FAHM two years back. with everything going on it can be especially hard to stay optimistic. truthfully i’ve found myself heading towards nihilism sometimes but what keeps me going is the fact that a liberated world is not out of reach and in fact has been experienced before. we continue to experience this liberation with each other everyday in many forms but my favorite is when I get to unapologetically live life with the barkada♥️ we live in revolutionary optimism here because we know that white supremacy and capitalism aims to rob us of this hope for life. we live in this optimism with a fervor for a fight that we will win. we live in this optimism because we are all living examples of what this liberation can feel like💗it’s been done before and will be done again, padayon mga kasamas♥️♥️♥️
