  Just a couple of hundred meters away from Austria’s lowest point of altitude, on the banks of Lake Neusiedl, the Hedwighof vineyard’s high proportion of old vines, gravelly subsoil, and position atop an ancient seabed leads to bright and complex fruit flavors and lovely salinity. Zweigelt, a cross between St. Laurent and Blaufrankisch is Austria’s most plant red grape and yields wines that are bright, fruity and a little tart.
