The Shift Kits

I contacted the exceedingly popular and talented designer Andrea Mowry to get permission to kit up her The Shift cowl. She said yes! I have to tell you that rarely have I completed a project and before I’m even done I’m planning my next one. I want to knit up several. I’ve been throwing The Shift on over sweaters, under my coat and over dresses. It’s such a great accessory. The Shift cowl is fun and entertaining to knit and it’s incredibly wearable when you’re done. And it’s the perfect size for no-fuss wear. The Shift is worked flat and uses slipped stitches to create the color pattern. You only use one color per row and the knitting becomes rhythmic and simple once you get it down. An I-cord edging is worked in as you go. The two edges without I-cord are then stitched together to create the cowl.
