Original baseball card art I wanted to make another Bazooka Bubble, and who better to use than Javy Baez! El Mago loves to blow big bubbles. Since I prefer vintage over today's styles, I found some 2019 Topps Heritage cards that emulate the cartoon work of the Bazooka illustrators from 1970. Bazooka gum was first distributed shortly after World War II in the U.S. by the Topps Company in Brooklyn, New York. It was then placed inside wax packages of baseball cards throughout the decades to cross promote products. After 1991, Topps ended this practice... as collectors no longer wanted cards stained by sticks of bubble gum.
