It was September 27th, 2024 at about 3pm when we heard the next 3 shows of the tour were canceled. We were gutted, but we knew we had to find a way to play a show that night. So I called up my friend James Harker from Spirit of the Bear, who was happy to host a last-minute free show at his studio space, Moonlight Audio.Within just a few hours we went from hearing that night's show was canceled to hosting a secret show to 15 lucky fans, playing a vastly reimagined set that we performed for the first time on the fly.For this set, we decided to ditch the in-ear monitors and backing tracks and approach the music entirely differently, with Mick playing several keyboards, Aaron foregoing sampled drums and triggers, and me (Jesse) using James' pedalboard.What you'll hear in this live session is the most unique live set Basic Printer's ever put on.
