A special coffee from Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Ixlama comes from the department of Huehuetenango near the Guatemala-Mexico border, a region known for its rugged landscapes, high elevation, and for the 22 ethnic groups of Mayan descent who call this community home. This coffee is the culmination of work by approximately 120 family producers in the municipalities of San Pedro Necta and La Libertad. It's a great example of how terrain and process work together to make really fantastic coffee. This coffee coming from Huehuetenango is yet another stunning reason why we love Guatemalan coffee. Recommended brewing in an Aeropress or Kalita Wave. Origin: Huehuetenango, Guatemala Farm: Transcafe Process: Fully-washed Altitude: 1524-1830 Varietal: Bourbon, caturra Cupping / Tasting Notes: Stone Fruit, hints of citrus and cherry, chocolate
