PK1 Chair
The Carl Hansen & Søn PK1 Chair was originally designed by Poul Kjærholm in wicker. This new updated version features a weaved paper cord, which looks equally beautiful from the front and back. The weaving technique has been recreated in accordance with Kjærholm’s original chair design; it takes a skilled craftsman 15 hours to weave the seat by hand. The combination of industrial steel and weaving paper cord exudes lightness and elegance; the PK1 is today considered a design icon because it balances aesthetics, comfort, and stability beautifully.
