Also known as the Castaways, this hotel/casino was open from 1954-2004 and was located at 2800 Fremont Street, just off of Fremont and Charleson. In 1959 a bowling alley was added, which soon became the Showboat's signature attraction, hosting nationally televised tournaments. By 1979, the bowling alley grew to 106 lanes, making it the nation's third largest!
