The Viking Ulfberht remained a weapon of choice until the 12th century, gradually evolving into the first iterations of the knightly Norman swords. Our Ulfberht Sword's blade is forged from pattern-welded Damascus steel. This heat-treated, folded carbon steel comprises 11 pieces of steel, folded five times to create 352 layers. The result? A perfect blend of hardness and durability with a Rockwell hardness rating of 55-56 HRC.
