We're delighted to offer for sale this exceptional 18th century Chippendale period 6 board PA folk art painted blanket box. This is an exceptionally well made 18th century box with a later added PA folk art style painted surface. The box is all dovetail joined, retains the original heart shaped strap hinges, & features a better than most interior with full till and safe drawer. The iron work on the hinges is just spectacular. The heart shaped ends are a nice embellishment not commonly found. Sadly many have been lost to time and replaced with more modern barrel hinges. The box is painted in the Pennsylvania
