18th C Antique Pennsylvania Walnut Chippendale Chest of Drawers / Dresser

With our highest compliments and utmost honors, Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic 18th century antique Pennsylvania Walnut Chippendale chest of drawers. The chest has 9 drawers with a 5 over 4 layout and the lower 4 drawers graduate in size. The chest has a clean aesthetic with a finely formed crown and tall bracket base with scrolled out sides. The drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetails and hand chamfered bottoms and another dovetail set can be seen in our photo of the bottom of the chest. Like most Pennsylvania case furniture, the chest has a full series of dust boards between each drawer that can be seen in our photo with all the drawers removed. The chest is in wonderful condition with our only notes being a small repair to the upper left-hand corner of the top left drawer and a stable age split on the right side that’s not at any risk of expanding. With respect to Sack's good, better, best grading system we’d place this as a “better” example. T
