Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this fantastic 19th century antique New England pine 1 drawer work table / nightstand. The stand has nice proportions with an attractive single board top and a large brass knob on the drawer. The stand also has New England White Pine secondaries with a hand chamfered drawer panel and hand cut dovetail joinery. The stand likely originally had a simple wood pull that was later swapped for a nice large brass one. In the early 19th century most brass products were still imported from England or France because large quantities were easy to ship due to their small size and their metal workers were much more productive
