  Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this exceptional 19th century antique Sheraton Mahogany sideboard / server. The drawer faces are veneered with fabulous cuts of imported Mahogany which would have been one of the most expensive timbers on the market in the early 19th century, second only to Rosewood. We’re always in the market for good sideboards & servers and most that we purchase are slightly wider than this. We love the diminutive scale of this piece as it's very functional but won't command too much of your dining room. The server has two cutlery drawers with round faces with crotched mahogany veneers above. The upper three drawers have a cross banded edge laid out in a desirable format with two bottle drawers surrounding a large center drawer. All the drawers have cock bead molded faces and nice embossed brass pulls with a lattice pattern. The chest has carved acanthus columns flanking the drawers and a raised gallery at the back.
