Antique Arts & Crafts Oak Armchair With Orange Leather Seat

Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this wonderful early 20th century antique Arts & Crafts Oak Armchair. The finish is a little distressed, but all in all it is still a great chair. The previous owner reupholstered the chair with a beautiful high-quality orange leather and intended to refinish the chair as well. They weren’t able to see the refinishing through because they were putting their house on the market, and we purchased the majority of their collection. It was an eclectic collection with mainly Limbert and JM Young furniture, but there were a couple of Stickley pieces as well. We believe this one is a JM Young chair but couldn’t locate a label or maker's mark. We’ve already sold a couple pieces from the estate and were considering having this refinished before offering it for sale, but we really don’t mind the old weathered finish.
