Originally the lower section of an 18th-century Queen Anne highboy, this piece was thoughtfully repurposed by an expert restorer with the addition of a newer tiger maple top that beautifully complements its centuries-old case. Antique dressing tables are among the rarest and most sought-after forms of traditional furniture, and we are proud to present this wonderful example to our collectors across the country. The entire case of this dressing table is comprised of boldly figured tiger maple lumber. The sophisticated form of the case is indicative of a New England lowboy design, particularly from the coastal regions of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.
