Defined by intricate interlaced carved back splats, punch carved decorations, wide seats, carved Marlborough front legs, H stretchers, nicely splayed back legs and comfortably raked seat backs. These are late 19th Century (exercising an abundance of caution-to the very early 20th century at the latest) English masterpieces that come to us from a major Connecticut collection of the best English antiques.
