Puzzle! A Century of Wood Type

In our 109 years as a letterpress print shop, we've collected a lot of wood type - each letterform with it's own rich history and story to tell. Some of the collection is original to the shop, some purchased from print shops closing down, found in old basements, and even some donated by you. It's no secret we love telling old stories in new ways. So we filled an entire press bed (our life-of-the-party press Betty!) with a century of wood type. We worked with local photographer Lindsay Stayton to photograph it, and then worked with the folks at Portland Puzzle Co to create a 500 piece, made in the USA, delightfully challenging, jigsaw puzzle! Obviously we couldn't NOT print that gorgeous lock up of type. So we made posters! The first 100 puzzles purchased also receive a free commemorative poster - the print of the full type lockup in the puzzle. Woop!
