He is Risen

  Matthew 28:1-10 Though the meaning of His words were not fully understood, Christ told His disciples that He had come to pay the ultimate sacrifice for sin and would, on the third day, be resurrected again.  As they observed His death and torture at the cross, they were overcome with fear, disappointment, and sorrow.  But, what joy when they learned of His resurrection!  Today the declaration of the gospel brings gladness and hope to the hearts of sinners who are made to worship Him in joyful response to the good news.     Image by Fords, Howard & Hulbert, NYC [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons
