Winter Botanical Illustration Workshop with Lara Call Gastinger Sunday 02.02.25, 1PM - 3PM  Be Just Classroom, 2415 Ivy Road, Charlottesville VA Join us in the Classroom for a long-anticipated afternoon with world-renowned artist Lara Call Gastinger. Lara will be leading a workshop focused on illustrating winter botanicals, wherein participants can expect to build foundational ink illustrating skills, or sharpen their existing artistic practice. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have learned how to spot and draw beautiful, overlooked winter specimens. All necessary materials will be provided.   About the instructor: Lara Call Gastinger is a botanical artist and illustrator, based in Central Virginia. She was the chief illustrator for the Flora of Virginia Project and a two-time gold medalist at the Royal Horticultural Society Botanical Art Shows in London (2007, 2018).
