"Hippo Teeth" - Large Shell beads

Though made of clamshells, "hippo teeth" is the name the African traders gave to these beads. Found primarily in Nigeria, they are a traditional African bead and are about 100 years old! These beads are becoming very rare, average size is 34mm x 23mm x 7mm thick.
