Antique Chinese Cinnabar Lacquer and Gilded Silver Brooch Early 20th C

A very pretty hand-carved cinnabar brooch pin with the sparkle of gilded silver. The carving of peony blossoms is very professional with expert handwork. No mistakes were made. The lacquer finishes are shiny and polished. The pin has a further enhancement of a filigreed metal mount with a gilt finish. The back has an old soldered pin back that is a rotating opening. The back is flat with a gilt finish. The pin has the word CHINA in the center of the back.MEASUREMENTS1 7/8” (4.8 cm) long x 1 ¼” (3.2 cm) wide x 5/16” (.8 cm) thick (excluding pin). Weighs .45 oz (13 g) CONDITION The pin has no chips, breaks, or cracks. The metal work is in good shape and still has much of its gilt finish. An elegant brooch with detailed carving.
