Chinese Pouch with Tassels Beads Republic Period

A vintage Chinese bag case with colorful beads and orange tassels.A long and narrow black cloth bag from China that uses Peking glass beads and ceramic red beads with tassels as the drawstrings. There are ten small Peking glass beads and four ceramic beads. The bag is lined with an aqua-colored satin cloth.MEASUREMENTS23” (58.4 cm) long x 8 ½” (21.6 cm) wide. Weighs 4.6 oz (130 g)CONDITIONThe outside of the bag shows very little wear. The top edge, upper portion of the lining, and the lining near the drawstrings has wear. There is some wear to the ceramic beads and there are loose threads on one set of tassels. The tassel with more wear also is soiled. A fun bag that you can use to carry something long and narrow, add to a purse collection, or repurpose the tassels and beads.
