Chinese Scholar's Desk Brush and Ink Holder Late Qing/Republic

A jade-colored porcelain desk brush and ink holder for the scholar that has been decorated with double happiness characters. The glaze is very thin and has pooled in places. The interior is unglazed, and the base is glazed. The foot is very shallow and is partially glazed.   MEASUREMENTS   2 3/8” (5.9 cm) long x 1 7/8” (4.8 cm) wide x 1 ½” (3.8 cm) tall. Weighs 3.0 oz (90 g)   CONDITION   There are no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs. There are kiln flaws, such as bumps, black spots, and uneven glaze.   A small scholar’s desk object to add to a collection or add a small bit of color on a shelf or tabletop.
