A colorful necklace made with small red and larger red swirled Venetian glass trade beads.   A necklace with 22 swirled larger red beads and 66 small round red beads. They are strung on an orange silk cord. The clasp is a simple hook and loop affair, possibly made from silver. It was black and has shined up.   MEASUREMENTS   27” (68.9 cm) long. Hangs 13 ½” (34.3 cm). Weighs 3.8 oz (110 g)   CONDITION   There is a chip on the bead second from the hook end and a short crack on the large bead closest to the hook. Both the large and smaller beads have some pitting. Many of small red beads have dark rings at their ends where they have rubbed against each other. The cord has been restrung and is tight.   A colorful trade bead necklace to add to a collection. The colors are bright and dramatic.
