Corqs Strike Indicators
INSPIRED BY NATURE & EXPERIENCE.FISHED BY PROFESSIONALS. Several years ago, I was guiding a flyfishing trip on the San Juan River when a client of mine lost a 30-inch brown trout to a Thingamabobber cutting the line; we sat there devatasted after battling the fish up and down the river for nearly 45-minutes. I began consoling him by sharing other similar stories I had seen and heard, then explained the fundamental flaw with the Thingamabobber design is a sharp metal ring attached to plastic that cuts the line. At that moment, I decided to create a better strike indicator. Over the next year, I developed and tested several designs and materials that could solve five major requirements: 1) User friendly; cast easy and be lightweight 2) Stay in place without cutting the line 3) Eco friendly and Durable 4) Highly Visible and Sensitive 5) Made in the USA Here's the skinny, CorQs are made from lightweight, premium cork.
