Sedum Dendroideum Tree Stonecrop (Sedum dendroideum): A shrubby succulent of large spatulate leaves. The foliage is wavy and notched at the tips. The leaf tips also blush red in response to direct sun. When planted in the ground in frost-free climates, it can reach 4.0' wide and 3.0' tall, but it will stay smaller potted indoors. Soft Sedum need bright sunlight to maintain their colors and full leaf coverage. They will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. Like most succulents, soft Sedum need great drainage and deep, infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
