Confederate frock coat based on a surviving example linked to the 6th Georgia Infantry in 1862. While the coat is linked to the Army of Northern Virginia, the style of coat is reasonably generic across all Confederate armies from 1861-1865. The original coat was constructed from a reddish jean clot and was closed with Block A Artillery buttons (even though linked to an infantry regiment). The coat has two inside tail pockets and is half lined similar to a number of other examples of Confederate frock coats.
