We recommend 5 x 7 for silhouettes, 11 x 14 for detailed pet portraits, and 16x20 for portraits with multiple pets. In the examples, the Husky is an 8x10, the brown dog is an 11x14, and the lab silhouette is 5x7. Mini is approximately 4 x 5 inches and matted. Suitable for very simple shapes (silhouette only). Pricing is based on: Price is based on number of colors needed for the design. If you want us to use multiple shades of brown for your portrait, add a hue for each shade you want and let us know which colors you want us to use.  White counts as a hue if you would like us to use white circuit board We have saved a lot of "odd" colors for making portraits, including pink, white, various shades of browns, and some grays. Even if the color isn't in the swatch, we'll find a way to make it work! If you'd like us to paint details (like on the brown dog, we painted wispy eyebrows and speckled fur since doing it in circuit board wouldn't work), please let us know and add on a hue to account for this added layer.  Design We use a computer controlled cutting machine to precisely capture the details of your pet. The circuit board shape(s) will be sized to fit the mat but we leave some white around the sides for a polished design. We specifically use frames that can accommodate the thickness of circuit boards. Since we work with recycled circuit boards, every piece will be a little bit different. Larger art sizes enable us to incorporate more details, and mini sizes may be too small to accommodate your design. Just get in touch if you'd like us to help you figure out what makes the most sense for your budget and project.  All the reference photos are of dogs since that's what we've been commissioned to make in the past, but we're happy to make anything you like!  We STRONGLY recommend if you'd like a silhouette that you send a photo of your pet from the side since it's best for conveying the characteristics of your pet. Straight on may not look the most awesome. But if you're unsure, just send a few photos and we'll show you which one we think will be perfect! Design Limitations & Considerations If your desired subject matter has fine lines, details, or non-primary colors, we may not be able to make it in circuit board or at smaller art sizes. Some designs cannot be made in smaller sizes. If you are uncertain, just get in touch with what you'd like and we'll let you know what's possible.  Exceedingly complicated designs containing many pieces (more than 10) may incur an upcharge.
