Remember Lot's Wife (When it Rains it pours)

This apocalyptic landscape is inspired by the Old and New Testament, but the idea came to me after seeing a box of Morton salt sitting on our kitchen table. The landscape imagery is referenced from an old black and white photo of the general sight where the event of Lot’s wife took place. Christ warns us to leave worldly things and beliefs out of our hearts. He desires to save each of us, but to do that we must let go of those things that will destroy us in any way, that would leave us without root or branch. This is the symbolism of Lot’s wife turning back to look, to worship Sodom again. She lost what should have been most dear to
