All of our mattresses have toppers on them and customers are required to use a washed organic cotton Coyuchi sheet when lying on mattresses.  No one ever lies directly on a mattress in our store. The Herald (aka Oxford) is especially popular in a firm firmness. Our display model is in a split medium on one side and firm on the other.  The Herald mattress has 1,886 coils (per king) in a single layer hand-nested calico pocketed spring construction for amazing support and is filled with matted horsehair sandwiched between to generous layers of wool with cotton blend in.
