Gentiana affinis (Pleated Gentian) 30 Seeds

Pleated Gentian aka Meadow Gentian is a compact, vibrant and beautiful addition to the garden. The leaves are bright green and form a dense mound with numerous stems. The flowers are a deep, and saturated blue to blue-violet that attract mostly native bees. Exceptionally cold hardy and normal drought tolerance for a native plant when planted in its natural setting. Looks great and is right at home in most meadow settings and along the edge of aspen-silver sagebrush forests.  Try planting with sticky geranium, basin wildrye, and mountain silver sagebrush. Cold-moist stratify for 30-60 days then plant in pots or desired location. Or plant outside in late Fall or early Winter.
