Kitchen Spurtle

Based on the "Couthie Spurtle" from middle England, Germany, and often attribited to the American Amish (who were originally from Europe of course) - a flat bladed flipping utensil - our version of this classic kitchen utensil is made from hardwood and shaped to be suited for flipping - pancakes, crepes etc With a slopped blade, and a recessed spot for your thumb, these are extremely comfortable to use.  We finish all our kitchen utensils in nothing but food safe mineral oil, making them safe for all kitchen uses and easy to maintain. As with any wooden utensil, do NOT run them through the dishwasher!
