In the forest, fallen trees are broken down by numerous fungi and insects. After decomposition, the decayed wood chips mix with the soil on the ground, forming the commonly used Flake Soil for breeding beetles. During this process, trees undergo various stages of decay, where we can find beetle larvae at suitable stages of decomposition. Flake Soil typically has high decay, usually ranging from 6 to 9 in fermentation, making it suitable for most Rhinoceros beetles. including Dynastes, Allomyrina, Megasoma, and other large Rhinoceros beetle species. Usage Tips: Before use, mix Flake Soil with water until it can be compressed in your hand without dripping water or dispersing when squeezed. When larvae encounter surfaces filled with droppings, it's time to change the soil. Since Flake Soil decomposes over time, changing it every two months is the optimal schedule. Unopened Flake Soil has a shelf life of 3 months at room temperature. For unused portions after opening, seal and store them
