One day in 2014, shortly after our first cafe opened, the founders of Bella Goose sat down and wondered how to bring in more families. Ali (our owner) remembered the spelt flour waffles she made as a kid for her large family. Soon they borrowed the family’s waffle iron and tried out the weekend waffle bar. Little did they know that it would soon become a huge hit amongst locals and tourists alike. That waffle iron never did get returned.
