The black leaves, plucked just beside the bud, offer a sweet, mellow base that allows the golden tips to shine. Both come from the tenderest growth at the tip of the shoot—known as Flowery Orange Pekoe. As the tea brews, the leaves unfurl slowly, releasing a scent of dates, almonds, and fresh parsley.
