no. 169, Jin Jun Mei (Floral)
An elegant and fully-oxidized black tea from a small family garden in the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian Province. Fine, delicate leaves produce a complex and resonant infusion rich with notes of malt, dried fruit, oak leaves, ginger flower and cassia with notes of toffee lingering on the palate. Grown in a comparable ecological setting as Tong Mu Guan, this evocative black tea was created from the fragrant Huang Guan Yin cultivar. Lyrical and warming with a steady, persistent energy. As an indication of its fine production, the refined leaves produce a clear, amber brew. This exceptional tea is sourced from a small family garden in the Wu Yi mountains of Fujian. This tea is purchased in small quantities and is a limited edition selection. Infuse Jin Jun Mei (Floral) multiple times to experience the full expression of the leaves.
