It's important to keep an eye on your belt tension, especially if you have a custom-sized swing arm. Watch this video for instructions on how to use this tool. The ideal belt tension is between 30-50kg. Take several measurements as you rotate your wheel to identify the high and low spots. The low spot should be 30kg or more unless you have a low-power setup and do not experience any front tooth skipping. The high spot should be 50kg or less. When you install a new belt, take it for a quick ride of a few minutes, using medium to low throttle or full throttle as long as the front pulley isn't skipping. Be gentle and gradually work up to full throttle during the 2 test rides. After a few minutes, return home and double-check the tension by re-measuring the high and low spots as described above.
