1965-1979 Ford 2WD Trucks Power Steering Gear Conversion KitBenchwork Steering Systems offers a complete power steering conversion kit for your 1965 thru 1979 Ford trucks equipped with twin I-beam front suspension. Our kit uses the Ford power steering gear box (not the poor designed Bendix gear box that was discontinued in 1971.)The kit includes a new manufactured steering gear, Pitman arm, flex coupler, weld on coupler flange, factory style hoses, mounting hardware and instructions.Special Note: Steering shaft will need to shortened and new coupler flange installed (welding required)The power steering motor mount bracket is required for (1965-1971)It is very important that cab mounts are in good condition.Three speed column shift require modification. We recommend calling our sales department for details before ordering. Add-Ons The universal steering shaft will allow you to install this kit without the need to modify or weld your original shaft turning this kit into a true bolt-on system. (Cutting required) Includes: steering shaft, splined u-joint, and aluminum bearing collar The adjustable motor mount is needed if you don't have the updated power steering motor mount bracket (1965-1971) Includes: Two piece adjustable engine mount bracket, Grade-8 mounting hardware Factory hoses are not included/needed if pump kit is ordered (Pump kit sold separately.
