Peugeot "Kill Cars" Gravel Build
This was such a blast to build! Scrolling through Craigslist looking for old bikes is one of my favorite pass times. When I stumbled upon an ad that was titled “bike lot, come get it,” I jumped right on it. You never know what people have had stored for years and sometimes you can luck out. When I pulled up, it was clear this dude was a Peugeot fan. I ended up taking back with me 3 ~almost~ complete bikes and 1 Peugeot frame. Everything was stored in a tool shed with poor weather sealing so I could tell right away these were going to be some projects.This is the first of the 4 Peugeots that I’ve finished! I converted it’s original 27” wheelset to a 700 which was an easy transition thanks to the long reach of the Mafac Racer brakes. It even has enough room to clear a 40, which is the tire size on there now! I kept the original cotter bottom bracket and crankset because the ratios on these rings are unique (don’t see too many small chainrings in cotter land). I stretched the frame and re
