Schwinn Paramount Series 5 PDG
The white with gray splatter Series 5 PDG (Paramount Design Group) debuted in 1991. The road bikes included in the Paramount series are 2, 3, 5, and 7 which are made with steel frames. Paramount represented the ultimate aspiration of every young American racer and bike builder. This Series 5 bike shows a remarkable blend of craftsmanship and performance racing precision. It’s made with Tange Road OS tubes that make for a really fun ride! This bike rides great and is in need of a rider who isn’t scared to put the hammer down! There are some marks in the paint on the drive side chain stay (due to chain slap). The small chainring has also seen some miles – wouldn’t hurt to replace it. The rear shifter is indexed for a 6 speed and since this is a 7, it won’t make a click going into the last gear. It will still shift into the 7th speed and the indexing can easily be turned off.
